Creating A WireSecure Account

Clicking this link will allow you to Register A New WireSecure Account

Enter your name and email address, click register, then enter your mobile number and click submit. You will receive an email confirmation that your account has been created and you can use your email address to authenticate in either of the add-in products as well as make use of the forwarding service.

Requesting ID Verify via Forward

One easy way to request an ID verification from anyone is by simply forwarding any email to ‘verify@wiresecure.com’. They will immediately receive a request for ID verification, and you will be notified that they have been received it.

Note:

  • You must have a WireSecure account for the email address that forwards the message. If you don’t you will get a reply asking you to create one.
  • There can only be one email address in the email forwarded. If there are multiple email addresses you will get a reply asking you to only include one.
  • This method is simple, but it lacks a personal warning message from you to the sender that they are going to get this ID verification request. If you have never verified their ID before you should send them a note telling them to expect an email from WireSecure.com, or use the /cc method described below.

Requesting ID Verify via /CC

Another way to request an ID verification from anyone is by simply including a /cc  to ‘verify@wiresecure.com’ in any email you send (to a single email address). The user will get your email, and then immediately after they will receive a request for ID verification. You will be notified that they have been received it.

This method allows you to tell them that you would like them to verify their identity. We recommend saying something like:

“Thanks for your email. To protect both of us from the possibility of identity fraud, in a moment you will receive a request to verify your identity. It’s a simple process that takes less than 2 minutes. I will follow up again after that has been completed.”

Note:

Installing WireSecure's Gmail Add-In

  1. Navigate to the WireSecure add-in page in Google Marketplace: Install Page Link
  2. Click Install
  3. You may be asked to log into your Google Account
  4. When you get to the WireSecure Add-in Page, click Allow.
  5. If you don’t already have a WireSecure account, click to create one.

You will now see the ‘W’ icon in Gmail on both desktop and mobile (not iPad)

Installing WireSecure's Outlook Add-In

  1. Click the “Get Add-ins” option in Outlook.
    In ‘Old’ Outlook it is in the ribbon bar next to ‘Send and Recieve’
    In ‘New’ Outlook it is under the three dots at the end of the toolbar.
  2. Click ‘My Add-ins’
  3. Click ‘Add a custom add-in’
  4. Copy this URL: https://panorama.wiresecure.com/manifest.prod.xml
  5. Paste that URL into the private add in box.
  6. Click OK and then choose Install from the warning dialog.

WireSecure is not installed and you will see the ‘W’ icon in the ribbon bar.

Known Issues

Gmail on IOS

When using the Gmail Add-in on iOS, after clicking the Verify button you will get an error message that says ‘Unable to Complete the Action. Please Try Again. Close the window and you will see a ‘draft’ of the correct email ready to review and send to the sender.
